Sedation Treatment
Conscious Sedation
Dental sedation is a type of anesthesia that allows the patient to be asleep and relaxed without being totally unconscious.
What is conscious sedation?
This type of technique is applied when we are facing very long or complex treatments, when the patient has difficulty controlling his movements or in those cases in which he is afraid or panics at the dentist.
Thanks to this type of sedation, the specialist can intervene in a more comfortable and relaxed way by having a patient in his hands who, despite maintaining all the defense reflexes of the airway, is awake, relaxed and without any type of pain.
In addition to the above, this type of sedation has other advantages such as:
The patient is conscious throughout the intervention, which allows us to communicate with him if necessary.
The reduced recovery time that is needed compared to the long time that a patient treated with general anesthesia would need.
At Clínica Dental Herrera our objective is clear, we want you to be in the best hands and for coming to see us to be as pleasant as possible.
For this reason, Dr. Jesús Badía and his team of anesthesiologists are in charge of carrying out this type of technique and ensuring that the interventions are a success.
After all, what this type of technique allows is that whatever your treatment is, you can feel relaxed while you put yourself in our hands.
